The main event started slowly with few waves, then a major Basque-style rainstorm struck, soaking the huge spectator crowd, and thinning it out too. VIPs were treated to an open bar and food on the Roof-top Terrace overlooking the contest venue whick offered excellent spectating opportunities.
Finally as the tide dropped the waves started to work and action got underway. Most of the BIG names failed to advance in the difficult conditions, Final result of the evening's event was, 1st Adrien Toyon (REU), 2nd Jean Charles Debray (GUAD), & 3rd Vincent Duvignac (FRA).
